CHANGE YOUR SEARCH SPACE

Think across disciplines and eras.

Famous players and recent winners are easy to retrieve. Move to a different decade, another league, or an individual sport. A question about a champion may include someone with a single title; a question about participants is wider still. Read the time boundary before using a historical name.

Example: for a Summer Olympics host before 2025, move away from recent Games and consider Antwerp. The historical angle is useful because the date restriction permits it.

For teams, use the full name if a nickname could refer to more than one club. For event questions, distinguish a sport, a discipline and a particular event. An answer can be familiar to you and still be a useful new angle.
